Hull City, Barnsley and Portsmouth are all chasing Rochdale midfielder Aaron Morley, with the player out of contract at the end of this season, Football League World can reveal.

The young Dale ace has impressed during his time at Spotland, with him coming through as a youngster and gradually becoming a real regular presence in the first-team.

Indeed, he's made 14 starts for Rochdale this season in Sky Bet League Two but his time with the club could be coming towards an end with his current contract running down and several sides higher up the EFL pyramid now taking a look at him closely.

Football League World has been told that Sky Bet Championship duo Hull City and Barnsley are among those that are keenest, whilst Sky Bet League One side Portsmouth are also in the hunt for the player.

Morley's contract expires in the summer and so he could be available for a cut-price fee in the coming January window, with his compensation set to be minimal as he is coming to the end of his current deal with Dale.
