Former West Bromwich Albion striker Victor Anichebe believes that finding consistency will be the key to his former side winning promotion to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Darren Moore currently has his side sat in the promotion race following their relegation from the Premier League but question marks remain over some of their performances.

“I think it’s consistency,” he told Football League World in an exclusive interview.

“They lost their last game against Sheffield United but they’re doing really well right now. He (Moore) will motivate them to keep going until the very end.

“Some people might say that he is not experienced enough, but sometimes those new fresh ideas can get them over the line.”

Anichebe spent three injury-hit years at the Hawthorns after leaving Everton in 2013 , scoring just nine goals in that time.

Those inconsistencies in the Baggies performances are clear to see, with Moore’s side winning twice, losing twice and drawing once in their last five matches before the game v Leeds last night.
