Fleetwood Town are weighing up a move for Cole Stockton at Morecambe this summer, a source has exclusively revealed to Football League World.
Stockton has had a fine season for Morecambe in League Two, contributing greatly to their push for automatic promotion under Derek Adams.
The 27-year-old has scored 13 goals and registered three assists in the league, having featured on 40 occasions.
However, Stockton is out of contract at Morecambe heading into the summer, which could lead to him securing a move into League One no matter what.
A source has revealed to Football League World that Fleetwood are weighing up a move to sign the well-travelled Stockton.
The striker has had spells with Tranmere and Morecambe, as well as featuring for clubs like Hearts over the years.
His immediate focus, though, is going to be on the League Two play-offs, with Morecambe locking horns with Tranmere next week in the semi-finals.
Stockton is in-form too, having scored six goals in his last eight appearances in League Two, including back-to-back games against Walsall and Bradford City.
Fleetwood, meanwhile, finished mid-table in League One under Simon Grayson.
