Leeds United maintained the pressure at the top of the league on Norwich City as they came from behind to beat QPR on Saturday afternoon.

For sure, many Whites will be thinking that this, at last, could be their year to get out of the second tier and back into the Premier League.

We caught up with former Leeds player Sue Smith, then, to discuss whether they are on their way or whether those continuous injuries will be their downfall...

"That’s the only concern with Leeds.

"On a plus side, they do seem to have been able to manage with it so far.

"Marcelo Bielsa has brought in some young kids and they have done well and done a good job but now they’ve got Dallas and Cooper injured as well.

"They’re two experienced players and you just wonder how they’ll cope whilst they’re out. There are other positives though with Patrick Bamford coming back and Izzy Brown on his way too so he’s got good attacking options.

"Defensively though I wonder if the injuries are going to have an impact. The way Bielsa plays too with the high-intensity and high-pressing you are going to pick up knocks.

"The amount of training they did pre-season could have an impact at some point this campaign too if your body isn’t used to it.

"They do look awesome though when they are on song. No-one is going to beat them when they click and Bielsa has brought a freshness to the Championship and every time I go and watch I’m expecting a great game."
