Paul Jewell has offered his thoughts on Ivan Toney and the fee Brentford are looking for in an exclusive interview with Football League World.

The Bees have had another good season in the Sky Bet Championship and are once again challenging for promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

Indeed, with Ivan Toney leading the line after scoring 30+ goals in the regular season they are bound to be fancied by many to at last make the top flight at the end of the campaign.

The summer, though, could well see Toney move on from the club with Arsenal, Leeds, West Ham, WolvesEverton and Leicester all linked with an interest in him.

And, according to The Sun, it could be at least £35m that Toney goes for if he does leave the Bees.

Paul Jewell has told Football League World exclusively that that is the going rate for a player of Toney's calibre, too, but also said that if the Bees go up they may well be able to hold onto him.

"It is a lot of money but he's their player, they've brought him on and so if someone wants to buy him in the Premier League that's the going rate.

"Brentford may well be in the Premier League themselves next year so they might not want to sell.

"I think it's a very well-run club and they're no pushovers."

Certainly, we're in for an interesting summer in terms of watching Toney's future and situation play out and we'll just have to see whether he does or does not leave the club.
