Queens Park Rangers midfielder Dom Ball has revealed what he and the rest of the R's squad are doing to stay fit while the season is suspended.

All EFL matches have been suspended until April 4 at the earliest, with players required to train from home and stay fit.

The league shutdown came at an inopportune time for the West London club, who were enjoying a good run of form and had moved to within six points of the playoffs.

Ball himself was also playing some of his best football of the season and had just picked up the QPR player of the month award for February.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Football League World, Ball said: "The club gave us a day by day programme with a bit of running to do on the treadmill or outside.

"We have also been given a lot of body weight sessions that we can do at home. There are other little things like keeping your immune system up so they have given us nutrition plans and lots of meals and guidance. The doctor at the club has been very good and the team have all been very careful and cautious."

The Hoops manager Mark Warburton recently urged the EFL to ensure the current season is finished.
