Queens Park Rangers midfielder Dom Ball has revealed the impact that manager Mark Warburton has had on the side's style of play.

Ball arrived at the club from Rotherham United in the summer and said that he feels this QPR side is much more suited to his skills as a player.

Warburton was also appointed during the summer and has guide the R's to 13th place in the Championship table, just six points adrift of the playoff places.

The West London club are unbeaten in their last six matches and Ball feels very happy with how he is progressing.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Football League World, the 24-year-old midfielder said: "At Rotherham, maybe the way we played didn’t suit me and I don’t think my strengths were used."

"But under Warburton I have the opportunity to really play football and my role becomes more significant within the team which helps me.

"I am now the first line of defence in front of the back four but I am also helping to us build by getting the best players on the ball. This style of play really suits me and it has allowed me to get a lot better."

Only West Bromwich Albion and Brentford have scored more goals than QPR in the Championship this season, while they have averaged 52.7% possession.

The R's have also scored 40 goals from open play, with only the Bees managing more.
