Nottingham Forest revealed last week that they plan on staying at the City Ground and redeveloping it rather than moving to a new stadium.

More often than not, we see clubs upping sticks to a new ground and, with that, fans are rarely happy with the change.

Forest's decision appears to have gone down well with Reds fans, then, and it's clear that EFL on Quest pundit Dean Ashton thinks the call is the right one too.

He told us exclusively:

"I think that new stadiums are over-rated.

"Of course they look great and are fantastic and the facilities are superb but you lose the atmosphere in a lot of them and I think supporters enjoy their own home.

"I'm sure West Ham fans would turn around to Nottingham Forest fans and say, 'this is a great outcome for you.'

"The plans look superb for the ground and the surrounding area and it's a great statement for the club to be doing this and if I was a supporter I would be absolutely delighted to be staying at home."
