Nottingham Forest were certainly busy in the transfer window and the Reds will be looking to get themselves back towards the top six before too long.

Among the signings Martin O'Neill made, Leo Bonatini signed for Forest on loan from Wolves.

A striker with quality, he has been short on confidence for some time, so we spoke to Dean Ashton to see what he made of the move.

He told Football League World exclusively...

"I think Forest will be hoping he'll be a success!

"He’ll be desperate to have got game time at Wolves, but he’s not really had the opportunity this season.

"He showed his quality when they got promoted so we’ve all seen that he’s got it in him but he’s not played.

"I think we’ll have to give him a few weeks to get up to speed and feel his way into games but I think it’s just one where we’ll have to wait and see whether missing that amount of football will have affected him.

"It is hard to go through that sort of patch. You feed off of playing games and getting into a rhythm and having an understanding with people on the pitch.

"It will be difficult first of all because they’re a new set of players and because of his fitness levels but what an early goal would do for his confidence with him at a new club."
