Huddersfield Town's latest managerial era got off to a losing start with the Terriers losing at home to another side with a new boss; Sheffield Wednesday, at the weekend.

The recently relegated Premier League side have seen Danny Cowley and brother Nicky Cowley come in from Lincoln City and the pair will be looking to bring some of the success they provided to the Imps with them.

It was a loss to kick off their reign, though, and they'll be determined to turn things around as soon as possible, with a real lack of confidence evident in the playing staff at the moment.

And, for Dean Ashton, it could well be that that the Cowleys need to work on first of all as they get to grips with their first full week at the club.

Speaking to Football League World exclusively, Ashton reflected on the appointment of the brothers:

"This is a real test for them.

"Perhaps there were other opportunities for them that you could arguably say would be easier for them so fair play to them.

"They're taking on a difficult challenge where there's no confidence whatsoever but I think their styles and their personalities will brighten the place up and there's no doubt that there's quality there, it's just that the confidence amongst the players has been shot.

"In Karlan Grant they've got a player that they can really work with and base the team around so I think it's going to be fascinating to see how they turn them around.

"I think with the success that they've had at Lincoln they'll be able to get them to a better position than they are currently."
