Norwich City will be playing Premier League football next season as they look to get themselves established back in the top flight.
They look to have a budget of £20m, too, as they aim to spend wisely and avoid upsetting the side they already have.
We spoke to Dean Ashton exclusively, then, to see if he felt that that would be the right way to go about things for the Yellows…
“I think we’ve seen more and more teams are looking to use players that got them out of the Championship and not upset the squad too much.
“Fulham’s a great example. They’ve probably looked at Fulham and thought ‘they’ve spent over a £100 million and it hasn’t worked’.
“I think they’ve got the right idea and they’ve changed the mentality around the club. They’re not going to be a club that goes out and spends stupidly and beyond their means.
“They’ve done well this season with their budget so they can be trusted to be knowing what they’re doing and they’ve probably already got three or four targets to come in.
“It’ll be great to see how those that are there already do in the Premier League too.”
