Said Benrahma is having an excellent first season in England, with him proving yet another top Brentford signing.

Indeed, the Bees winger has apparently caught the attention of the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea - according to French outlet Le Buteur.

Is he a player capable of playing for one of the biggest sides in the country, then? We caught up with EFL on Quest pundit Dean Ashton to catch his thoughts.

He told us exclusively:

“It would be an unbelievable move for him to go to either of those clubs but I would be amazed if it happened.

“There’s a big difference in going from the Championship to an established, bottom half of the table Premier League side; that’s hard enough to do. So to then go to a club where the expectation is that you have to perform every single week and win every week, that’s a whole different level and that is a really big jump.

“He has been superb but I think we’d have to see him perform this well for longer to think he could do it for one of those clubs.

“But, certainly, you’d think for the bottom half Premier League sides he’s worth a look because he could be a real exciting option for them.”
