Carlton Palmer has offered his thoughts on Adam Reach, in an exclusive interview with Football League World, after links between Norwich City and the player emerged.

Football Insider has reported in the last few days that the Canaries are interested in trying to sign Reach on a free transfer this summer as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Wednesday, of course, are heading into Sky Bet League One after what was a shocking season for them and a number of players are set to leave, if they haven't already, this summer.

Reach is potentially off to Carrow Road, then, and Palmer has offered his thoughts on that with him remarking that the player's output for the season perhaps wasn't where it should have been for the Owls.

Palmer told Football League World exclusively:

"Maybe Norwich will look at him and think they've got to be careful with their spending and with what they're doing and maybe they'll take him in as a squad player.

"But in 44 games from an attacking midfield role, he got just five goals and three assists and Sheffield Wednesday have got relegated."

Reach certainly didn't have the sort of season we have seen him have in the past for Wednesday but he may well get away with it with his contract up this summer.

Indeed, if he gets a move to a Premier League club, even if he doesn't play much, things will have worked out for him and it just remains to be seen if that is where he ends up.
