Burton Albion are set to swoop to sign Aaron Amadi-Holloway on a free transfer ahead of 2021/22, a source has exclusively revealed to Football League World.

Amadi-Holloway hasn't featured in English football since 2018/19, when he was on the books with Shrewsbury Town.

He's spent time with Brisbane Roar in the Australian A-League, before moving to East Bengal in the Indian Super League recently.

However, after his release from the Indian club, a move back into the EFL now beckons.

A source has revealed to Football League World that Burton have agreed a deal to sign the 28-year-old, with the view of adding him to Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink's squad ahead of 2021/22.

Amadi-Holloway began his career with Bristol City, playing alongside the likes of Joe Bryan. He was also a Wales youth international, but never made the cut at senior level during his time in the South West.

Newport County, Wycombe Wanderers, Fleetwood Town and Oldham Athletic have all offered the forward a permanent home since then, alongside Shrewsbury.
