AFC Wimbledon are set to recall 24-year-old winger Dylan Connolly from Bradford City this month amidst interest from various Major League Soccer clubs, a source close to the club has confirmed to Football League World Chief Editor Sam Rourke.

Connolly previously signed for the Dons back in January of last year, initially making a good impression for the south London club as they secured League One safety on the final day of last season at Bradford City with a 0-0 draw.

However, the Irishman had found himself largely out of favour under the club's previous manager Wally Downes, leading to the pacey wideman being loaned out to the Bantams back in September.

The former Dundalk attacker has been in promising form for the League Two club, contributing two assists so far as the west Yorkshire club chase a play-off place this term.

It now seems that interest in the winger's services from the MLS has forced the club's hand, with Wimbledon sure to be open to any financial package that is put forward for a player that is unlikely to get a look in under Glyn Hodges due to the manager's preferred system not requiring the use of wingers.

With Connolly's long-term future at Kingsmeadow seemingly up in the air, the club could well look to cash in on their man this week.
