Barnsley, Middlesbrough, Reading and Huddersfield Town are showing an interest in Lincoln City winger Anthony Scully, sources have exclusively told Football League World.

Scully joined Lincoln from West Ham United in February 2020, and has since made 68 appearances across all competitions for the Imps.

The 22-year-old was an influential player for Lincoln last season, in a campaign which saw Michael Appleton's side reach the League One play-off final as they narrowly lost out to Blackpool at Wembley.

Scully made a whopping 53 appearances in all competitions for Lincoln last season, scoring 17 goals with 11 of those coming in League One.

Scully, who signed a new deal with the club in February which keeps him under contract at the LNER Stadium until the summer of 2023, has also started this season in incredible form.

The winger has already made 10 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals. He has featured seven times in League One, scoring five times including braces against Fleetwood Town and Cambridge United.

Scully is already beginning to attract interest from Championship sides this season, though, with sources informing Football League World that Barnsley, Middlesbrough, Reading and Huddersfield have taken an interest in the player.
