Steve Seddon couldn't have asked for a much better start to life with AFC Wimbledon, with the defender making a real impact for the League One outfit.

Seddon joined Wally Downes' side in the January transfer window on loan until the end of the season and has impressed in his time with the club.

AFC Wimbledon were one of the favourites to be relegated from League One, but a recent run of positive results has seen them edge closer to League One safety.

Seddon and his team will be looking to build on some positive results when they take on promotion-chasing Charlton Athletic at Kingsmeadow.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with FLW's Jacob Potter, Seddon is wary of the threat that Lee Bowyer's side are going to pose to his team this weekend.

"We’ve got to be wary that they aren’t on a great run of form because they’re still 5th in the table which shows the quality they have.

"You’re hoping that they’re a bit low on confidence.

The 21-year-old is hopeful that his team can make it three straight league wins, after they snatched a vital win at the death against Rochdale in midweek.

"There’s nothing better than a 90th minute winner, which obviously we got the other night to give us a lot of confidence.

"First things first, we’ve got to compete and do the basics well and hopefully we’ll have more confidence and quality to go on and get the win."

It's sure to be a tough game for Seddon and his AFC Wimbledon team-mates this weekend, but they'll be hoping to edge closer to safety with a positive result.
