It has been quite the season for Bristol City so far and Marlon Pack will be a part of the exciting times unfolding at Ashton Gate for at least another year.

Tom Barclay, Football League journalist at the Sun, has revealed that Pack's 35 appearances across all competitions this season has earned him an automatic one-year extension to his contract at the high-flying Robins.

He has been so impressive this season that Lee Johnson and the powers that be at Ashton Gate want to tie him down for even longer.

The Verdict

Pack has really come to the fore for Bristol City so far this season. They have surprised everyone and there will no doubt be players who have caught the eye to a greater extent but do not underestimate how important his ability to hold his position and keep it simple is to this side.

It is no surprise to me that Bristol City want to tie him down to a longer deal, especially after there was interest in his signature in the January transfer window.
