Fulham moved up to third in the Championship with a 1-0 win against Middlesbrough at Craven Cottage last night and many fans of the West London club have been heaping praise on winger Anthony Knockaert.

The Brighton loanee provided the decisive moment for Scott Parker's side, converting Joe Bryan's testing cross to give the hosts the lead in the sixth minute.

Parker will no doubt be pleased to see his men get the job done in the absence of star forward Aleksander Mitrovic, who is missing due to injury.

With him in the team, the scoreline may have been more comprehensive, as Fulham had chances to extend their lead before the break, with Ivan Cavaleiro and Josh Onomah both squandering good opportunities.

Boro came back into the game in the second half but Fulham continued to have the better of the chances, with Denis Odoi's goal ruled out for offside.

Knockaert continued to look a nuisance for the visitor's defensive line throughout the game and worked tirelessly both with and without the ball.

The Frenchman has now scored four goals and provided four assists for Fulham this season and Parker will undoubtedly be hoping he can help shoulder some of the goalscoring responsibility in the absence of Mitrovic.
