Many Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jason Knight's latest display for the club in their 2-1 victory over Charlton Athletic in the Championship.

The midfielder, who is a product of the Rams' youth academy, marked his 15th appearance of the season by firing in a brace for his side at Pride Park.

An encouraging start to the clash by Derby eventually resulted in Knight giving them the lead in the 10th minute as he headed past goalkeeper Dillon Phillips from close range.

The Rams were then reduced to ten men as Krystian Bielik was shown a straight red card for a rash tackle of Charlton midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Undeterred by the former Arsenal man's dismissal, Derby doubled their advantage in the second half as Knight swept home his second goal of the evening.

Although Lyle Taylor gave his side hope of a late comeback by scoring a penalty in the 83rd minute, the Rams held on to secure to victory.
