Sheffield Wednesday have sealed the signing of defender Moses Odubajo and lots of Owls fans are excited to have him at the club.

The 25-year-old arrives at Hillsborough on a free transfer after seeing his contract expire at Brentford.

Despite missing the start of the season due to injury, Odubajo made 35 appearances for the Bees last season and was a versatile option, playing on both sides of the defence and midfield.

The Englishman is an experienced Championship campaigner, having made 117 appearances in the league, and should be a useful option for Wednesday next season.

The 25-year-old is the Owl’s second signing of the summer after Julian Borner joined from Bundesliga 2 side Arminia Bielefeld yesterday.

Odubajo’s arrival sees the player reunite with Wednesday manager Steve Bruce after playing under the 58-year-old at Hull City.

Bruce will likely be hoping to strengthen his squad this summer ahead as he looks to build on last season’s 12th-place finish and push for the play-offs in the 2019/20 campaign.

There is uncertainty surrounding the future of the Wednesday boss, who is reportedly close to taking over at Newcastle United, but many supporters appear to have remained positive and are excited by Odubajo’s arrival.
