Sheffield United are among a host of Championship clubs wanting to sign West Ham United youngster Marcus Browne, according to Football Insider.

The 21-year old has scored seven goals and produced four assists for Oxford United this term, despite the club struggling at the lower echelons of the League One table.

In order to further develop the youngster, the Hammers could look to recall him from his loan spell at the Kassam Stadium in January, with a switch to Bramall Lane on the cards.

Here, we discuss whether he'd be a good signing for Chris Wilder's men...

George Harbey

Wilder's preferred formation is a 5-2-1-2 system, and Browne would fit into that with ease.

A natural number 10, he'd definitely add some real competition to Mark Duffy.

He's been impressive in League One and deserves a chance in a league above.

Alfie Burns

This is an area that Wilder’s side are really lacking and it’s good to see them targeting a player like Browne.

There’s so much reliance of Mark Duffy to create, and if given opportunities, Browne could ease that particular burden.

Wilder is fishing in the right holes.

Chris Gallagher

He is exactly what they need.

Chris Wilder's side are a bit too predictable at times in the final third and Browne would provide them with some imagination and flair.

They should go all-out to get this done.

Jacob Potter

He wouldn't be played - simple as that.

Chris Wilder didn't use Ben Woodburn when he arrived from Liverpool, and I'm yet to see any evidence as to why Browne would be played here.

If Browne has any ambition, he'll avoid this move at all costs.
