Norwich City are weighing up a swoop for Shrewsbury Town central midfielder Jon Nolan, according to the Daily Mirror [March 19th, page 47].

Would Nolan be a good signing for Daniel Farke and his Canaries side?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

Central midfield will be an area that Norwich need to strengthen in the summer if they are to improve.

Farke’s side have been disappointing in that area this season, which makes links with Nolan understandable.

It might be worth a punt for the Canaries, who will have to be savvy during the summer.

Chris Gallagher

Exactly what they need.

Norwich have changed their approach to recruitment in the past 12 months and are looking for young, hungry players who can develop.

Nolan is exactly that and would bring a lot to the Canaries midfield.

Gary Hutchinson

Possibly, of the three teams Nolan is linked with, Norwich would be the best place for him.

It is a stable environment, they play the right type of football and he'd likely get a start.

When things are going well, he's a decent player. When the chips are down, so is he.

George Dagless

He'd be a decent signing.

Norwich have got some good central options with the likes of Alex Tettey and Tom Trybull in the squad.

With Wes Hoolahan approaching his final years in his career and James Maddison bound to attract transfer interest, though, another midfield signing could be needed.
