Sheffield United could be set to face a major battle to keep hold of defender Jayden Bogle this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.

Bogle only arrived at Sheffield United last summer and the defender was one of their best performing players in a difficult campaign last term in the top-flight. In total, the right-back managed to score two goals in his 16 league matches and showed he is a player capable of playing at that level.

The latest report from Sky Sports Transfer Centre (21/06/21, 16:02) has revealed that newly-promoted Norwich City are now interested in making a move for the full-back this summer. That comes with the Canaries keen to enhance their options ahead of their Premier League return.

So, with Norwich now interested in Bogle, we asked our FLW writers whether he would be a good signing for the Canaries and also whether they think he will leave the Blades…

Phil Spencer

I could see him being the ideal replacement for Max Aarons.

Aarons is attracting all sorts of interest and so it'd be a surprise if he didn't secure a move to a top-half Premier League club this summer.

That means that Daniel Farke will be looking for a replacement and Jayden Bogle could be the man to do it.

Bogle made 16 appearances in the Premier League last term and so he has some experience of the top flight - something that could be key if he moves to the Canaries.

Providing the clubs can strike a deal I think that this would be a decent move.

Jacob Potter

A move to Carrow Road will surely be tempting for Bogle.

He's impressed me in the Premier League whilst with the Blades, and I think he deserves another shot in the top-flight in the near future.

Bogle will be wanting to play at the highest possible level, and Norwich can offer him that, after winning promotion from the Championship last term.

Strength in depth at full-back is needed in the Canaries team as well, and you would imagine that he'd be a regular starter in their team if he arrived at Carrow Road.

He's exactly the type of signing that Norwich need this summer, as Premier League experience is vital in Farke's squad.

Chris Thorre

I think he’d be the ideal replacement for Max Aarons if he leaves Carrow Road this summer.

He’s certainly proved to in the past that he is good enough to play in the Premier League.

I could see him leaving of the price is right for the Blades but I do think it would be a substantial amount of money.

They can’t stand in Bogle’s way if he wants to return to the top-flight and I think that will determine a lot.

I’ll be intrigued to see who Sheffield United replace him with if he does leave.
