Sky Bet League Two side Notts County have completed the signing of striker Craig Mackail-Smith on loan from Wycombe Wanderers on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The veteran forward becomes Notts’ fifth signing of the month, as Magpies boss Neal Ardley frantically searches for players that will help steer the club out of the relegation zone before the window slams shut on Thursday evening.
The 34-year old is a vastly experienced striker who has endured a very impressive career, and is mostly known for scoring 99 goals in over 210 games for Peterborough United, before sealing a big-money move to Brighton and Hove Albion in 2011.
The former Scotland international, who has amassed over 570 career appearances, has scored 184 goals in his long, established career, and will be hoping to use his experience and know-how to full effect at Meadow Lane, as the World’s Oldest Football League Club sit rock bottom of League Two.
Here, we take a look at Notts County fans’ reactions to the signing of Mackail-Smith…
Exactly the type of player we need imo. Not the biggest nor the quickest anymore, but will make the ball stick and knows where the goal is. Starting to actually look forward to Saturday now https://t.co/T0YZlNg5Jr

It doesnt really matter what his recent form is like, it's another option and as long as he starts hitting the back of the net as of Saturday that's all that matters.. ⚽⚽⚽
