According to the Sun, Gray could be in line for a return to South Yorkshire just four months after he was controversially dismissed by the Owls by the club’s new owners.

Last season Gray secured a 13th placed finish for the Owls but was given the boot and replaced by Carlos Carvalhal in preparation for the 2015/16 campaign.

Rotherham are searching for a new manager after Evans mutually departed from his role on Monday afternoon after it emerged that he shared a different vision for the club than the hierarchy at the New York Stadium.

The charismatic manager was linked with the vacant role at Peterborough United last week but the League One outfit opted for Graham Westley in the end.

Gray would represent a shrewd appointment for the Millers and given the right resources he could potentially have the Millers challenging at the right end of the table.

Millers fans… How would you feel about Gray coming to the club? Is he the right candidate for the club? Who would your choice for the role be? Let us know your thoughts below!
