Former QPR midfielder Hogan Ephraim has predicted that star playmaker Ebere Eze will move to a top-half Premier League club this summer.

Eze has been phenomenal for the R's this season–starting every game and scoring 11 times and providing six assists.

The 21-year-old playmaker scored QPR's equaliser in the 4-2 comeback win against Stoke City on Saturday and was a catalyst to their victory with his all-around play.

Eze's impressive performances for the West London club appear to have turned the heads of some big clubs, with Tottenham Hotspur and a number of other Premier League sides reported to have been tracking him earlier this season.

QPR managed to keep hold of him during the January window, despite suggested interest from Crystal Palace, but it looks as if it may be a tough thing to do in the summer.

Ephraim, a midfielder that made 117 appearances for QPR between 2008 and 2012, has predicted that Eze will likely move to a top-half Premier League side in the next transfer window.

Eze's next chance to impress looks set to come against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Verdict

Ephraim's comments are unlikely to make pleasant reading for QPR fans, though they must suspect that Eze is likely to leave.

The playmaker has been phenomenal for Warburton's side this season and has shown himself as one of the most exciting young players in the Championship.

It's hard to disagree with Ephraim, you feel it would be very surprising if Eze is at QPR next season.

They should at least be able to demand a high fee for the 21-year-old.
