Aston Villa's financial woes appear to be the talk of the summer at the moment with them struggling to get out of the woods by the looks of things.

The true extent of the issue remains to be seen, of course, and it does appear that it's perhaps not as severe as it could have been but, even so, there is still work to do.

Selling players, then, could be a part of that this summer and Jack Grealish is the obvious prize asset at the club that would bring in the most cash.

Sky Sports reported yesterday, too, that Tottenham had made a bid with Stan Collymore evidently open to him moving on to the Champions League outfit:

Collymore, a Villa fan, has perhaps surprised many with his comments but he knows how short a career is and so perhaps that is what he is using as his reasoning.

The Verdict

Grealish would profit by moving to Tottenham and so would Villa money wise but if they can hold out for more than £15m they should.

He's certainly worth more than that in the current market and letting him go for such an amount would be a bad sign.
