Ex-Middlesbrough keeper’s manager believes he’ll excel in the top flight

Former Hartlepool United boss Neale Cooper insists that Middlesbrough goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos deserves to play in the Premier League, according to the Hartlepool Mail.
Cooper brought the Greek shot-stopper to Victoria Park in 2003, and he went on to make well over 100 appearances for the club.
Konstantopoulos is preparing for Middlesbrough’s Championship play-off final against Norwich on Monday, and the 34 year old is backed by his old boss.
“I’ve watched a lot of Boro’s games on TV and he’s been excellent,” Neale Cooper said to Hartlepool Mail.
The keeper was without a club in 2003, and Hartlepool United’s then manager Neale Cooper was impressed by the keeper that “signing him was a no brainer”.
From Hartlepool, he moved to Coventry, before loan spells at Nottingham Forest, Swansea City and Cardiff City. He then moved to Middlesbrough in 2013.
