Reading have been linked a shock move for ex-Manchester United and Benfica flop Bebe, according to ITV.
The striker arrived at United in 2010 from Vitória de Guimarães for a fee believed to be around £7.4 million.
After a pretty poor four years and a mere seven games for the Old Trafford side, he was sold last summer to Benfica.
The Portuguese Champions paid a fee of around £2.1 million for the 24-year old, but he was soon shifted to Cordoba on loan where he’s only managed five goals in 20 appearances.
The Royals will be desperate to add strikers to their squad this summer after only scoring three goals at home since January.
Many fans will question whether those goals will come in the form of Bebe, but it’s a step closer to reforming their strike force.
Reading have one win in 10 and have accumulated 47 points in the Sky Bet Championship this season.
Steve Clarke’s side were defeated 2-0 by Mark Warburton;’s Brentford on Saturday at the Madejski Stadium, in what has turned out to be a season to forget for the Berkshire club.
