Port Vale boss Robert Page has raided his former club to secure the services of central defender Neill Collins on loan until the end of the season, reports the Stoke Sentinel.
The 31-year-old former Leeds United, Wolverhampton and Sunderland defender will be available to make his debut when Vale travel to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
The combative defender adds some much needed experience to a young Vale side and he comes on the back of 12 appearances for the Blades this season, although he hasn’t started a game under Nigel Clough since October.
Page has been busy ahead of deadline day having already secured the serviced of Francisco Junior, who joins from Everton whilst it is also thought that the Vale boss is keeping a close eye on Bournemouth winger Mohamed Coulibaly.
Vale have eight games remaining in League One this campaign and are currently eight points from the play-offs and six clear of the relegation zone.
