Ex-Leeds man sends revenge warning to the Whites

Leeds host Bolton Wanderers tomorrow afternoon as the Easter schedule gets underway across the Football League.

It’s set to be played in front of a packed Elland Road, too, as the Whites take on the Trotters watched by over 33,000 people based on apparent ticket sales.

And, among it all, there’s going to be one man on the opposition side looking to prove a point to the home fans – Will Buckley.

The wide midfielder has got plenty of ability but has been hit by injury issues of late.

However, he is in contention to feature for the Trotters tomorrow against the Whites and he clearly has a win and a goal in his sights.

As per an interview with The Bolton News – via the club’s official website – Buckley said:

“My time at Leeds didn’t go well.

“I was only there for a short time but I didn’t play and it would be nice for me to go back there and get a win, maybe a goal.”

The Verdict

Buckley did not have the best time at Elland Road with him struggling to get many minutes on loan.

On his potential return, then, he’s looking to prove a point and with Leeds not going well right now, it might just happen.

Certainly, this could prove a very close and nervy affair in West Yorkshire.
