Garry Monk has been dealt a huge blow this summer, with Birmingham City placed under a transfer embargo.
After last season’s disappointing Sky Bet Championship campaign, where Monk helped Birmingham avoid relegation by the narrowest of margins, big changes were expected at St Andrew’s.
However, Monk could now be forced to rethink his transfer plans, after reports confirmed that the Blues were under an embargo, which will cause havoc to their summer plans.
Financial Fair Play guidelines have stung Birmingham, leaving Monk in a difficult situation, with his summer’s work now looking difficult.
