Former Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Andy Lonergan is edging closer to a move to Championship rival’s Fulham, according to Burnden Aces.
The former Preston North End keeper is out of contract this summer, and is not going to be offered a new deal, and he’ll be the second keeper to ditch the Trotters this summer, as Adam Bogdan has joined Liverpool.
Fulham are looking to bring in some back up between the sticks as speculation continues over their number one and England under-21 international Marcus Bettinelli.
Former Roma keeper Maarten Stekelenburg is to be shipped out by the Whites this summer, in order to get his wages off the bill, and Gabor Kiraly’s poor performances this year have lead to distrust from Kit Symons.
The London based side were linked with Millwall keeper David Forde, also out of contract, but it’s assumed that with Lonergan’s signing, that interest will die.
