Everton have made some good progress this season and will be eager to try and cap off their campaign with a spot in European competition for next year.

There's plenty of excitement around the club with a strong balance sheet and a new ground on the way, with the club spending big in recent years and regularly breaking their transfer fee record.

With that in mind, then, who are the ten most expensive signings the club has made so far? We take a look with the help of the records from transfermarkt...

Ben Godfrey starts our list at £24.75m. The defender arrived from Norwich City last summer and has featured regularly this season for the Blues.

He's made 20 appearances so far in the Premier League this season and will be looking to add more to that in the years to come as he continues to improve.

Moise Kean arrived at Everton for £24.75m and is yet to really get going for the club but he is still a very young player and his loan at PSG seems to be yielding some goals at least, which is positive enough to see.

It remains to be seen what the plan for him is long term.

Jordan Pickford is next on our list, with the goalkeeper arriving at Sunderland for £25.65m.

The stopper has had a few sticky moments during his time at the club but also plenty of good ones and, of course, has had success in getting into the England side, producing some fine heroics in the shoot-out with Colombia in the last World Cup.

Michael Keane is next on our list.

Keane was a youngster at Manchester United initially, but it was at Burnley where he proved his Premier League-level credentials.

He joined Everton for £25.65m and has since made England appearances, with him becoming a really decent centre-half.

Yannick Bolasie arrived for £26.01m on the back of some fine displays for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

His power, pace and trickery makes him a real threat but injuries have scuppered his time at the Toffees, unfortunately.

He's on loan at Middlesbrough at the moment and it remains to be seen what comes of that.

Powerful defender Yerry Mina arrived from FC Barcelona, after a lot of speculation and rumour around the move, for a fee of £27.23m.

He starred for Colombia in the World Cup of 2018 and that is why Everton made their move for him, with him still at the club now.

Alex Iwobi joined from Arsenal for £27.36m with the view to him realising his potential at Goodison Park.

He's been a bit in and out of the side during his time on Merseyside but he is still only 24 and so there's time yet for him to improve that little bit more and bring more consistency to his game.

Romelu Lukaku joined for £31.82m from Chelsea and it was this move that really helped him begin to realise his potential.

The Belgian had a great time at the Blues and became a top striker, moving to Manchester United for huge money.

He's now at Inter Milan.

Richarlison arrived from Watford for £35.28m in the 2018/19 season after he had greatly impressed for the Hornets previously in the Premier League.

The Brazilian remains a Blues player and is a real fan favourite, with supporters coining a song based on 'She's Electric' by Oasis.

Gylfi Sigurdsson tops our list at £44.46m after the attacking midfielder arrived from Swansea City.

A proven Premier League player having featured in the top flight for much of his career, he is still an Everton player and will be looking to help them finish strong this season.
