Sheffield United have endured a pretty tough start to the season after losing two of their opening three games, whilst they also went out of the Carabao Cup to Hull City.

However, a win against QPR in their last league game will have given those at the club a lift, whilst they've also made an impressive signing by bringing in Oliver Norwood from Brighton.

The Northern Ireland midfielder has proven himself to be a quality operator at this level over the years and was part of the Fulham squad that won promotion last season.

Yet, the Blades still need more players and Chris Wilder will be hoping to bring in a few more faces before the loan window closes at the end of the month.

Here we look at three potential arrivals that would seriously enhance Wilder's squad...

The Southampton player would provide the Blades with serious competition down the left flank and his attacking instincts would flourish in Wilder's 3-5-2 system.

McQueen has coped reasonably well when given a chance for the Saints but with Ryan Bertrand and Matt Targett to compete with, game time will be limited.

Given that, a move would benefit all parties.

Having lost David Brooks, Wilder needs to add some creativity to his side and Dowell could be the answer.

They do have Ben Woodburn but the Everton man would give them another positive option. He displayed his talent at Nottingham Forest last season and could star in the Championship now he has more experience under his belt.

The Yorkshire side have a few options up top, however they are still lacking that one prolific number nine that could the difference between making the play-offs or missing out.

Wells could make that difference, as he is a cool finisher, has great pace and clever movement.

He is out of favour at Burnley and should be allowed to move before the deadline.
