Everton are among a host of clubs interested in signing Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen, according to reports from The Sun on Sunday (15/12, page 61).

The 22-year-old has been one of the best players in the Championship this season, scoring 16 goals and adding four assists for Grant McCann's side.

The versatile forward is likely to attract a host of interest in the January transfer window, as he is well on course to surpass the 22 goals he scored for the Tigers last term.

Having already been linked with the likes of AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United, The Sun now claim that Everton are interested in signing the attacker.

The Toffees were linked with Bowen's signature over the course of the summer, but it looks as if they set to reignite interest in the free-scoring wide-man.

If they are to sign Bowen, though, then it is claimed that a bid of £20m would only be enough for Hull to let go of their star-man, with Bowen's contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Hull have reportedly offered a new deal to the 22-year-old, but there has been no movement on that just yet, however they do have the option to extend his contract by another year, which could keep him at the club until the end of next season.

The Verdict

I think that £20million could be a steal for Bowen in today's transfer market.

The winger has established himself as one of the best attackers in the Championship over the last couple of years, and it is so impressive that he looks set to surpass the 22-goal mark this term.

Everton could do with a player like him, who is so dangerous with both feet and can score and produce goals. He's at a perfect age, and £20million could be an excellent price for him.
