Everton, Wolves and Fulham are all firmly in a transfer chase to sign Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer, as per the Evening Standard.
The 27-year-old now finds himself in the Sky Bet Championship following the Hornets’ relegation from the Premier League last season, and this has subsequently triggered a transfer scramble to sign the Frenchman.
Doucoure has been one of Watford’s most consistently impressive performers over the last few seasons in the top-flight, and the Hornets are prepared to listen to offers in the region of £25 million for the player.
The Evening Standard report that Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are leading the chase to sign the player, but Wolves and Fulham are hot on their heels as they attempt to bolster their respective squads with the new season kicking off in less than a month.
Doucoure made 39 appearances in all competitions for Watford last season, scoring four goals and recording two assists as the Hornets fell out of the Premier league after five seasons in the top-flight.
New Watford boss Vladimir Ivic is also fielding interest for Hornets striker Danny Welbeck, who is attracting interest from Southampton.
