Hull City face a serious battle to keep hold of key man Jarrod Bowen with several Premier League scouts all in attendance for his match winning display against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

It has been a miserable season on the whole for the Tigers but the undoubted bright spark has been the performances of Bowen.

The attacking midfielder has scored 12 goals for the Championship side this season which has attracted a lot of Premier League attention.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton, Burnley and Newcastle all had representatives at the KCOM Stadium at the weekend. And, they will have been impressed with what they saw.

The 21-year old was man of the match as Hull overcame Forest to book a spot in the FA Cup fifth round. Bowen opened the scoring before setting up Nouha Dicko to score the second in a 2-1 win.

However, Hull are surely going to be desperate to keep hold of their star men given the precarious position the club find themselves in.

Nigel Adkins men host Leeds tomorrow and are just outside of the relegation zone because of their superior goal difference over Sunderland.

The Verdict

Hull simply cannot afford to lose Bowen at this stage of the season but it’s hard to see the board putting up a fight if the right money comes in and that will worry the fans.

As well as that, would the money be reinvested into the squad if he was sold? You highly doubt it. The former Hereford youngster deserves huge credit for his performances this season and the Premier League interest in him is fully warranted.

Whilst a move to the top-flight will appeal, he has to weigh up the first-team opportunities he will get as it could see his career stall if he is on the bench.
