Turkish club Galatasaray have entered the race to sign QPR front man Charlie Austin, according to reports in Turkey (via West London Sport).

Austin has attracted attention ever since the R's were relegated last season, so it comes as no real surprise to see some of Europe's top clubs wishing to sign him.

He has scored 10 goals already this season, and although he has stated he is happy to bide his time before making a move, a complete change of direction and move to Turkey may well be of interest to him.

The 26-year-old is undoubtedly QPR's most influential player and it would be a major loss if he departed, but it now seems a matter of when, than if, he departs Loftus Road.

QPR currently sit 16th in the Sky Bet Championship table, and take on Blackburn tonight with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink still looking for his first win as manager.

The R's have endured a poor season, which has seen them amass 30 points from 25 league games this season.
