PSG are the latest club to be linked with Adama Traore, as the Middlesbrough winger continues to attract interest from Europe’s elite clubs this summer.
A report from Arab News has linked the French champions with a move for Traore, claiming that PSG are keen to get the winger on board as a cheap replacement for Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler.
The report claims that Traore could even move to Qatar permanently, with PSG then moving to take the 22-year-old on-loan or in a discounted transfer, as they look to work around Financial Fair Play.
Traore is keen on a move to a club competing for silverware, with Chelsea also linked with a move for the Middlesbrough star.
The 22-year-old has been at the Riverside Stadium for two years now, making 71 appearances and scoring five goals.
Last year, Traore was influential in helping Boro reach the Championship’s play-offs, making 36 league appearances.
Traore returned five goals and 10 assists, as Tony Pulis’ side finished fifth in the Championship table.
It is claimed that Traore’s deal at the Riverside Stadium has a £18m release clause.
Traore is amongst the Championship’s most exciting players and interest in him is hardly a surprise.
The 22-year-old has enough ability to play for a PSG or Chelsea, but is lacking consistency at this stage of his career.
He looks like he could well be on the move this summer, but needs to choose his destination wisely.
Traore needs a club that will give him the chance to find consistency.
