It has emerged from an exclusive report by the Dutch news outlet Voetbal Krant that Bundesliga side Hamburg have joined the race for NEC winger Anthony Limbombe.
The Belgian winger has been a target of Championship side Leeds United and reports suggested the Championship side will attempt to sign the Belgian this summer.
However, reports are now suggesting that German side Hamburg are showing an interest as well as Spanish side Granada CF, who attempted to sign Limbombe in the January transfer window may attempt to sign him again this summer.
The winger scored seven times and also made seven assists in 32 appearances for NEC Breda in the Netherlands as he impressed once again in the Eredivisie.
It is clear to Garry Monk that a lack of goals has been Leeds downfall and if Limbombe can add goals to the side from midfield or the wide positions,it could prove to be priceless.
Leeds United fans, how do you feel about the news? Would you like to see Limbombe join? Is he the type of signing that Leeds should be making? Should Leeds be looking elsewhere, if so, where and at who? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
