Fiorentina have shown their interest in longstanding Leeds target Yannis Salibur, according to reports in the Estadio Deportivo (via Fiorentina.it)
The Whites have continued to be linked with the 26-year-old after attempting to sign him earlier this year, as they continue to try and capture the services of the winger.
Indeed, reports still suggest that they’re linked with the attacker this window, as the Guincamp player only has 6 months remaining on his contract.
Having featured in 13 games so far this season in the Ligue 1, the 26-year-old has managed to produce 2 goals for his side that find themselves in a respectable 8th position.
In a Leeds side that currently holds the firepower of Ezgjan Alioski and Samuel Saiz, the addition of another tricky winger could work wonders for Thomas Christiansen.
Nevertheless, if Leeds are to pull off the signing of the former French U’19 international, then it’s going to take a pretty impressive offer to fend off the challenge of Serie A giants Fiorentina.
Yannis Salibur is obviously someone who is highly-rated at Leeds.
His pace and trickery could replicate the terrific effect that Max Gradel had on proceedings at Elland Road, with bags of talent to be had with the Guincamp player.
Nevertheless, it will be tough for him to choose Championship football over playing in the Serie A, as a superior offer is expected from the Italian side.
Although, if you don’t try, you don’t get.
