It remains to be seen where Oli McBurnie is playing his football next season, with no confirmation of the striker’s destination ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

McBurnie is contracted to Swansea City for another 12 months, but having spent the second-half of the 2017/18 campaign with Barnsley in the Sky Bet Championship, a move seemed like it could be a possibility.

Leeds United and Rangers have both been linked with taking McBurnie off Swansea’s hands this summer, but no deal to either club has materialised in the opening month on the transfer window.

The 22-year-old has now taken to his personal Twitter account to share an update, claiming he can’t wait for the new season to begin, alongside a picture of him in a Swansea shirt.

With the whereabouts of McBurnie’s future still unknown, there was plenty of reaction on social media, with Swansea, Leeds and Rangers fans all delivering messages to the striker…
