Bolton Wanderers' off-the-field issues continue to impact the club, with striker Christian Doidge returning to Forest Green Rovers.

The League Two side had loaned the player to the Championship side and the move was expected to be made permanent once the window opened.

However, Dale Vince, owner of Forest Green, revealed in a lengthy statement how the Trotters had broken promises to both the club and the player as well as breaking the contract.

Yet, Bolton issued a brief reply to that today on their official site, where they criticised Vince for putting his comments out to the public:

"We are disappointed to read the statement as the club has been in dialogue with Mr Vince and Forest Green Rovers over this situation. We are hopeful that a satisfactory resolution will follow."

Unsurprisingly, that generated an angry response from Wanderers supporters and from other football fans, particularly as it's just the latest issue with the club, who last month failed to pay the players on time once again.
