Doncaster Rovers have got off to a strong start in their quest to win promotion from League One this season, with Darren Moore's side currently sat 9th in the league table.

They take on a Portsmouth side that are struggling for form this season, with the pressure growing on Kenny Jackett after just two win so far in this year's league campaign.

But how can we expect Moore's side to line-up against Pompey on Saturday?

Find out below....

Moore's side have got a game in hand (sometimes two) over their promotion rivals in League One this season, and they'll fancy their chances of improving on last season, where they were beaten by eventual winners Charlton Athletic in their play-off semi-final.

Timothy Dieng is likely to retain his place in the starting XI for this one, and will be keen to add to his clean sheet tally, which currently stands at one in his first two league games since arriving from QPR on loan until January.

Donervan Daniels and Tom Anderson's strong partnership in the centre of the Doncaster defence is one of the main reasons as to why they're challenging for a top-six finish once again this season.

Only league-leaders Ipswich Town have conceded less goals (8) than Darren Moore's side (9), and that's something that the former West Brom boss will be keen to build on as this year's league campaign progresses.

Arsenal loanee Ben Sheaf has impressed in recent weeks for Donny in recent weeks, and is certain to be one of the first names on the team-sheet alongside club captain Benjamin Whiteman.

It's further forward where changes could be made by Moore, as he looks to keep his squad fresh throughout the season.

Experienced attacking-midfielder James Coppinger will be in line to make his tenth league appearance of this year's league campaign, where he has already scored three times this term.

Kieran Sadlier is another player that is in a good run of form heading into this game, with the winger having three goals to his name so far.

Tottenham loanee Kaziah Sterling could return from a dead leg to make the starting XI, and he'll be keen to make up for lost time so far in this loan spell.

Niall Ennis has been Moore's first-choice striker for much of this season, but he is struggling to recover from an injury that forced him off in the draw with Coventry City last weekend.

The Wolves loanee might not be risked for this one, and Alfie May is the most likely candidate to replace Ennis in the starting XI.

It's certain to be a closely-fought battle between the two sides at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday, and Doncaster will certainly fancy their chances of piling further misery onto Kenny Jackett's Portsmouth.
