Birmingham City have posted highlights of their 4-1 victory against Leeds United in January 2012, which has drawn an interesting reaction from many Blues fans.

The EFL delay has now stretched on for nearly two months and clubs have often had to turn to the archive to keep their fans entertained.

Birmingham did just that yesterday, posting highlights of their 4-1 win against Leeds at Elland Road from 2012.

Towering forward Nikola Zigic proved the hero for the Blues on that day, scoring all four goals as the Blues maintained pace with the rest of the top six.

Ross McCormack opened the scoring for the Whites early on but the Serbian striker pulled the visitor's level just after the half-hour mark and then scored a second-half hat-trick inside seven minutes to secure a comprehensive victory.

Birmingham have not fared quite as well against Leeds recently – losing two of their last three clashes with Marcelo Bielsa's side.

However, that doesn't seem to have dampened Blues fans' enjoyment of the throwback to their victory in 2012, with many taking to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the game, praise Zigic and aim some digs at the Whites.
