Nottingham Forest's game against Barnsley has been postponed this afternoon due to a waterlogged pitch at the City Ground.

The Reds were due to take on the Tykes as they looked to end a miserable run of four games without a win, in which they have also failed to score.

However, a pitch inspection at noon resulted in the referee calling off the game because of the state of the pitch.

For Barnsley, the game provided them with the chance to move out of the bottom three with relegation rivals Birmingham playing tomorrow. Instead, Blues could move five clear of the Tykes with victory against Bolton tomorrow night.

As expected, the decision to postpone the fixture wasn't what either supporters wanted to hear, and Derby fans were also quick to comment after the criticism they received from their local rivals over a recent postponement against Cardiff.
