Peterborough United and Portsmouth will both be hoping to mount promotion charges this season in League One and they still have a few weeks to make further squad additions.
Last season saw Pompey defeated in the play-offs whilst Posh finished just outside the top-six but it is the latter who have been the busier side this summer.
And, with the summer transfer window still open for Leagues One and Two, they added another new face on Friday in the form of Nathan Thompson.
Defender Nathan Thompson, who's been back training with #Pompey in the past couple of week, has signed a 2-year deal with Peterborough united

He left Portsmouth at the end of last season after two years with the club, where he played 79 times, notching ten assists in the process.
However, before leaving he expressed that he was doing so to move to a Championship club, and that clearly has not materialised.
Therefore, when the news came through that he had moved to a League One rival, he received a lot of stick…
Great Championship club are Posh

Embarrassing for him really and certainly not the step up he was holding out for. I hope he lives to regrets not signing that new contract we offered him back at the start of the year now.

so he had made the step 'up'!? Shame I liked his steel but he clearly thought he was better or worth more than he was given the absence of higher interest.
