It hasn't been the start that many Sunderland supporters would have hoped for since Phil Parkinson took charge at the Stadium of Light.

The former Bolton boss has lost four of his opening six games as manager of the Black Cats, and it's crucial that they improve their slow start to the season at the earliest of opportunities.

Sunderland are currently sat seventh in the League One table and will be hoping that they can fire themselves back into promotion contention as soon as possible.

The Stadium of Light faithful certainly weren't pleased with their side's performance in a recent defeat to Leicester City Under-21's.

The defeat came as somewhat of a surprise as Phil Parkinson fielded a relatively strong team on the night, which should have been able to come away from the game with a positive result.

Plenty of Sunderland supporters took to social media to issue their thoughts on their start to the season.
